More And More Choices: Hybrid Car Models Of 2008
by Laura Eggers Underhill
More than ever, 2008 is a year for the production of gas-electric hybrid cars. Despite their higher price, consumers demand has continued to rise along with inflated gas costs.Several other automakers have gotten into the act (if they weren't already). In 2008, the consumer has more hybrid cars to choose from than ever before, particularly SUVs.The 2008 Chevy Tahoe Hybrid SUV seats up to 8 passengers. It's got a 6.0L V8 engine and can come as a 2WD or 4WD. The estimated mpg is in the low 20's, while the price is in the low 50 thousands. The 2008 Chrysler Aspen hybrid SUV is very similar to the Dodge Durango SUV. Its 2-mode hybrid system was developed by Daimler-Chrysler, together with BMW and GM.The 2008 Ford Escape hybrid SUV is available as either a front wheel drive or 4WD. It's estimated mpg is in the low 30's, and has a base cost in the mid 20 thousands. Ford has had the hybrid Escape in production since 2005, and they are working on other technologies such as the hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle and plug-ins.The 2008 GMC Yukon hybrid SUV seats 9 people and comes in 2WD or 4WD. The base price range is in the low 50 thousands. The 2008 Honda Accord hybrid sedan and the Honda Civic hybrid are still contenders for the best mileage. The civic gets an estimated mpg range in the mid 40's on the highway. Its base price is in the low 20 thousands. The Accord Hybrid boasts a V6 engine working in conjunction with the electric motor. Its estimated mpg is 35 on the highway and costs in the low 30 thousands. This new sedan model allows its engine to run on 3, 4 or 6 cylinders. The Lexus 2008 hybrid car models available are the Lexus RX400h, the Lexus GS450h, and the LS600h.The Lexus RX400h is a luxurious SUV and gets an estimated mpg in the mid 20's. The base cost runs in the mid 50 thousands. The third Lexus hybrid model, the LS600h is a luxury sedan with an estimated mpg in the low 20's. It's base cost is in the low 100 thousands. Wow.The 2008 Nissan Altima hybrid sedan has a base cost in the mid 20 thousands. It is only available in California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Vermont. The 2008 Saturn hybrid car models are the Saturn Vue Green Line and the hybrid Saturn Aura Greenline. The Vue is a SUV and gets an estimated mpg of 25 in the city and 32 on the highway. Its base price is in the mid 20 thousands. The Aura is a sedan whose estimated mpg is close to the Vues, but Its base price is a little less, being in the low 20 thousands. The Toyota 2008 hybrid car models are the ever-popular Toyota Prius hybrid, the Toyota Camry hybrid sedan and the Highlander hybrid SUV.The Prius comes in at the best mpg on the market, in the mid 40's, while its price is in the low 20 thousands. The Prius is still the hands down top seller amongst hybrids. The Camry is a sedan whose estimated mpg is in the mid 30's. Its base cost is in the mid 20 thousands. Luxury Hybrids: Are They Worth the Cost? : New Truck hybrid 2009

Luxury Hybrids: Are They Worth the Cost?
by Scott Conklin
In a world where more and more people are driving hybrids to both save on gas and be more environmentally friendly, many people ask why they should have to surrender on the luxury they enjoy in a new car just to be more environmentally friendly. Well, thanks to companies like Lexus, Porsche, Cadillac, and Mercedes you don't have to. But, by keeping the luxury that many desire are they sacrificing what makes the hybrid truly worth it? Fuel Efficiency vs. Cost of the Vehicle One of the biggest draws of a hybrid is that with the money you save on gas will quickly off-set the difference between a hybrid and a traditionally powered vehicle. Then after the first few years, you hope to pocket the savings. With a car like the Toyota Prius that sells for less than $30,000, the difference seems easy to see and could justify spending the extra on the car. But what about a $50,000 car? What if you're spending closer to $100,000? At a certain point, the amount of money you'll save on gas might not off-set the amount you're spending on the car. Granted, anybody who can afford a $100,000 car probably isn't concerned with off-setting the cost of the car by spending less on gas. Whereas a Toyota Prius can get close to 50 miles per gallon, many of these luxury hybrids get less than 40 miles per gallon. The real comparison, obviously, must be to other luxury vehicles of like size. The Cadillac Escalade Hybrid is rated over 5 miles per gallon better than the traditional gas Escalade. So even with large luxury vehicles, the mileage difference can make up the cost difference given enough time and miles. Reduced Emissions While many buy hybrids for the money they save on gas, others buy hybrids simply for their environmentally friendly nature. In this area, luxury hybrids can still justify their cost. Regardless of whether they get the same fuel efficiency as some of the more traditional hybrids, luxury hybrids still have fewer emissions than their non-hybrid cousins. Those who are willing to spend the money to purchase a luxury hybrid can still feel good about helping the environment by reducing the amount of emissions being released by their vehicle. Is It Worth It? In the end, the only person that can determine whether or not a luxury hybrid is worth the extra cost is the person buying it. While it won't be as fuel efficient as small hybids, and you my not be able to off-set the total cost of the vehicle with your gas savings, the ability to help the environment by reducing emissions is all many people really want. Either way, there's never anything wrong with purchasing any type of hybrid, and if you can afford a luxury hybrid, there's no reason you can't have all the amenities of a luxury car and cut back on gas and emissions at the same time.

Pickup Trucks: How to Transport Cargo Safely : New Truck hybrid 2009

Pickup Trucks: How to Transport Cargo Safely
by Christopher Stormer
Most people who buy pickup trucks are interested in the ability to haul cargo easily. Many are farmers, construction workers, movers, or otherwise. But how many times have you been speeding down the highway or interstate only to come up on a pickup truck and realize that the driver has not properly secured the cargo he or she is carrying? Unsecured cargo has been the cause of many fatality and non-fatality accidents, and these accidents were completely preventable. What is the best way to secure cargo in the bed of a pickup? Here are some tips.Use a cargo net. For only $60, Isuzu sells a Bed Web Net made of a tough elastic material and designed to stretch. The mount hardware is included and installation is easy. The net keeps cargo from flying out or sliding out of the back even during hard stops or fast turns.Buy a bed extender. Designed for the Isuzu i-370, the Bed Extender, made of steel, retails for well under $300 and gives pickup owners additional truck bed length. This particular bed extender has the ability to swing in to provide a contained cargo area as well.Bed Covers work well too. Many pickup models also can be accessorized with bed covers that not only keep cargo inside, but help to hide it and prevent theft as well.Cargo Sports Bags are another option. These are often used in SUVs as well and do an excellent job of keeping smaller items from rolling around or flying out of pickup truck cargo beds.Use a safety flag or light. Laws differ by state, but many require a red cargo flag or safety light be used when transporting cargo that extends beyond the cargo bed of a pickup. For example, in the state of California, when the load on any vehicle extends at least four feet from the rear of the pickup's body, the driver must use a fluorescent orange flag, or solid red flag at least twelve inches by twelve inches at the extreme end of the load. In addition, if the vehicle is operating after dusk, there must also be two lighted red lights at the end of the load visible at minimum of 500 feet to the side and the rear of the vehicle for safety. It's also important to keep in mind that using these precautions, as well as others will protect the cargo itself. When hauling cargo, it's important to drive more cautiously than normal and make slow, steady turns. The added weight of your load can make turning more difficult and brakes may not respond as quickly or efficiently as when driving without cargo.Every pickup truck has cargo weight guidelines. It's extremely important to obey these guidelines. While it might not be simple to actually weigh the load you plan to haul, it is better to err on the side of caution if estimating. Hauling additional weight beyond the manufacturer's guideline can significantly increase your chance of an accident or damage to your vehicle. There is also a chance you could be ticketed by law enforcement for hauling a load heavier than your pickup is designed to carry.

Convert your car from gas to water : New Truck 2009 hybrid

Convert your car from gas to water
by Jana Mraz

So here's the fact, the environment is getting worse every day. It's time for each of us to take charge and reverse this inclination by eliminating harmful exhaust emissions. Converting your car to a water run vehicle is the very first practical, helpful step you can take towards repairing the damage that car exhaust emissions have already done to the environment.
You can set a good exemplar by showing others how you personally manage to reduce your own demand for petroleum. If everybody did there would be less demand for foreign oil and large drilling rigs and factories that pollute our lands and seas.
• Water can be obtained FREE and is available anywhere and less than a QUART is needed to run a family car or company vehicle for hundreds of miles! Why buy a hybrid car when you can just get a quart of water and attach it to your engine.
• A car running on water runs cooler which helps the overall effect of global warming due to the heat emitted by running machinery each and every day.
• Your new clean burning engine will only add water and oxygen to the atmosphere instead of carbon and chemical particulates that cause toxic smog!
Now, enough of the environmental part. We all now know we have to tighten our belt due to the global economic downturn. Every single one wants to cut cost whenever and wherever they can. Why not start with converting your car from gas to water. You will save tons of money. But by how much can you save from it? We all know every car manufacture uses slightly different designs, so we can't give you the exact savings you will get. What we can say is what we've experienced: Take Peter Minovski from Cleveland, Ohio. He has a Ford pickup and in November he installed the Gas4Free device in his car engine. Peter and his brother tested the device on seven more cars, of all different makes and models, (mostly owned by neighbors and family) and found on average that no matter what, the device increased mileage by a whopping 39%. One tiny Honda Civic fixed up by another neighbor had a massive mpg savings of 80%. Is this technology safe? Since you're converting water into an explosive gas, you might be thinking "Isn't that dangerous? NO, it's completely safe, due to a number of reasons. The way this system releases water energy is extremely safe as it's created on-demand, as the engine needs it and it only ignites inside your engine that gives you some bang for your buck - mileage wise that is.
So, here's the summary of converting your car from gas to water: o Save lots of money $$ o Save the planet o Enhance the performance of your vehicle o DOUBLE or even TRIPLE your mileage o HHO is 3x more potent than gasoline o Works on DIESEL, TURBO & BIG TRUCK ENGINES

2008 Isuzu Ascender Production About to End
by Anthony FontanelleThe Isuzu Ascender is a mid size SUV from Isuzu. It was first launched in 2003 as a seven passenger SUV. It replaced the Japanese built mid size Isuzu Trooper. As for the year 2007 model the Isuzu Ascender is offered as a SUV that can seat five passengers. It replaced the Isuzu Rodeo and the Axiom. The 2008 Ascender is a 4 door, 5 passenger sport utility, available in two trims, the S 2WD and the S 4WD. It is a carryover from 2007. “Both trims are equipped with a standard 4.2 liter, I6, 285 horsepower engine that achieves 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. A 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.” Maximum towing capacity is 5800 lb. It offers a nice ride and impressive V6 engine power. It comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive is an option. Though it’s not very distinctive, reviewers say that it is a good looking one. It has a very handsome front-end design which is enhanced by attractive badges, lights, grille, and bumpers(http://www.innerauto.com). It features machined-finish alloy wheels, 17 inch alloy wheels, over fenders and body side moldings. I quote from Auto Media “though officially midsize, this is one big vehicle.” Reviewers praise this vehicle for its very spacious interior and amazing auto body parts. It boasts abundant interior volume for both passengers and cargo. Even six-footers will enjoy ample head room, knee room, and foot space. It comes standard with height-adjustable front headrests, a second row folding bench seat, power windows and door locks, a tilt steering column, air conditioning with CFC-free refrigerant, manual dual-zone climate control with rear switch, and an AM/FM stereo and CD player with six speakers. It gets good scores in most federal government crash tests. According to usnews.rankingsandreviews.com, “In frontal crash tests, the 2008 Ascender gets four out of five stars for passenger protection, but only three stars for driver protection. It fares much better in side crash tests, earning top scores of five stars for both front- and rear-seat protection.” Standard safety features include a front and rear ventilated disc brakes 4 wheel ABS, traction control, front side mounted airbags, anti theft alarm system engine immobilizer, dusk sensing headlamps, front fog lights, tire-pressure monitoring system, daytime running lights, an electronic stability system and anti-lock brakes. The Ascender ends production after the 2009 model year as part of Isuzu's withdrawal from the United States market.

Diesel Truck MPG - Beating Gasoline Engines For More Miles Per Gallon : New Truck Pick up new car 2008

Diesel Truck MPG - Beating Gasoline Engines For More Miles Per Gallon
by Dean Forster
Often times the diesel engine truck is used to haul very heavy items, opting to pick a diesel engine will not only benefit for the heavy load, but it will also help with the miles per gallon (mpg). Diesel truck mpg is much better than that of gasoline engines. While regular unleaded gasoline runs more smoothly and is easier to find, the engine that runs on diesel fuel should still be considered when buying a new truck. If a consumer is in the market for a new truck and they need to haul heavy loads regularly, that person should probably stick with diesel. Since diesel trucks can get better mileage (for they are built to go 250,000 miles more) they are ideal for heavy loads and many trips back and forth. Because of all these reasons, and although diesel trucks tend to cost more, they will end up being well worth the money in the long run. One reason diesel fuel might have a higher cost than most gas is that it has higher energy content than gasoline, and diesel performance is usually better in terms of engine output. These reasons also mean that vehicles running on diesel put less global-warming pollution into the air. Thanks to its higher energy content and its efficient combustion process, diesel performance enables cars and trucks to travel at least 30% farther on a gallon of fuel than comparable gasoline models. The improved efficiency of diesel engines can also help reduce oil consumption. Many dealerships are not offering a choice of either a diesel engine or a gasoline engine. While both are equal in different ways, the diesel engines have less keep up. Gasoline engines need a tune up every thirty thousand miles, while a diesel engine can go much longer without a tune up. General Motors, Ford and many other companies are doing extensive research on putting forth a car that does not run on gasoline, but currently there are many consumers that are opting for a diesel engine over a gasoline engine. While most gasoline engines are a standard in cars, in order to keep diesel truck mpg down, a lot of companies are making the diesel engine a standard in most trucks. Hybrid trucks are also becoming quite a popular commodity as well, but until the price of hybrid trucks goes down, the diesel truck will still be one of the best choices.

by T.Leudy
With rising gas and diesel prices, and no end in sight everyone is looking for ways to save a few bucks at the pump. I would like to talk about and review the whole Convert Your Car to Run on Water theory.
The theory is, the battery is used to break down water into it's two basic elements Hydrogen and Oxygen. And that forms a gas called HHO other wise known as Brown Gas.
The HHO is than combined with the gas and air to produce Energy. It is a very simple idea, and has been around for 90 years. Moreover, from my research it works. It has not been in the spotlight over the years because basically gas WAS relatively cheap to buy and the oil company’s obviously want you to buy as much gas as possible. So they can have as much profit as possible for there shareholders.
Now people cannot sit back and take it any longer while our house budget shrinks and the Big Oil Company’s Profit Soar.
There are a lot of guide's out there that help you Convert your car to run on water. It is finding the right one that is going to work for you. Any car or truck can do this. Gas or diesel- it works for both. It can be a new Car or an old one, it does not matter. Anyone can install this system.
You will be looking at 50% to 75% fuel saving's. Just buy the right guide. All the part's you will need are very common. And easy to install. It does not hurt in any way your engine, and for any reason you want to uninstall it. You can do it in very quickly. And there will be no harm done to your car. And by the way, this system will in know way affect your warranty.
This is the wave of the future. Everyone’s car will be called the water hybrid. And it gets two thumbs up from this researcher. To learn more on Convert Your Car to Run on Water follow the link. Discover how to convert your car to run on water - the easy way.
